Coming from different parts of Jamaica, the members of Dubtonic Kru, individually have been exposed to a variety of musical genres over the years. The founding members of Dubtonic Kru are Deleon “Jubba” White and Strickland “Stone” Stone, a dynamic Drum & Bass duo who, over the years have contributed to the development of modern Roots Reggae with their unique sound and approach that intertwines Jubba’s mesmorizing Reggae/Jazz Fusion drumming with Stone’s groovy, yet pulsating bass lines.

The Kru has gained about a decade and a half of experience from touring and or recording with the legendary likes of Max Romeo, U-Roy, Burning Spear, The Mighty Diamonds as well as modern day artistes such as Bushman, Junior Kelly, Richie Spice, Lutan Fyah and Voicemail to name a few.
One of the significant milestones in their careers was the composition of the “I Swear” rhythm, a rhythm that took the Reggae arena by storm, which featured Chuck Fenda’s “I Swear” and Richie Spice’s "Marijuana” to name a few.

The Kru became a more complete music machine with the addition of longtime friend and versatile guitarist Jallanzo, who also added his strong vocal ability as well a young and very talented Luke Dixon on work stations.
Another turning point of the group’s dynamic came with the addition of very unique and powerful singer to round out the already electrifying dub compositions with sometimes spoken words by Jubba. Kamau, “the Quiet Warrior”, who already has one album and two popular singles to his credit “Sight a Revolution” and “Goodbye Babe” under the Island Treasure label, brings a revolutionary voice to the Kru. Their songs and spoken words are consciously thought provoking, while their rhythm/dub section walks through the passage of time with a gritty sound that rolls stones and breaks fences.

Dubtonic Kru is dedicated to raising the bar and keeping it interestingly spontaneous.

Stick around for the ride.

Radio Moscow came about a few years back in a Story City basement. The First version of Radio Moscow Began as a solo project by Parker called Garbage Composal. At this time the sound was very raunchy mid-sixties-ish garage rock heavily influenced by the hidden gems and bands on the nuggets comps, yet still sounding very much its own. Parker recorded one albums worth of the Garbage Composal Demos under the new name Radio Moscow. (you can hear those songs here!: www.myspace.com/radiomoscowtheearlydays Along with the new name came new bass player Serana Andersen. This line-up lasted for a few years without any drummer. Around this time the band started evolving and a whole new sound was created. Still garage-y but now channeled through the blues with experimental breakdowns, unpredictable tempo changes, crazy rave-ups and fuzzed out psychedelic guitar work. For shows parker would pre-record the drums on a 4-track and then blasts it through amplification. Serana and Parker moved to Colorado in the quest for a drummer and a new scene. Things started out very promising when Dan from The Black Keys called Parker up said he dug the demo that he gave him at a concert and was going to try to push it for us to get it on ALIVE/BOMP records. Parker returned by himself to Iowa to try to get the band up and going. Luke McDuff from Ames filled the vacant bass spot. Together they recorded the debut album for ALIVE/BOMP records with producer Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys. The Album was released Feb 27 2007. Luke had to go back to school so he continued looking for a solid line-up. After one tryout Zach Anderson jumped on as new bassist. With the help of a few drummer friends (keith rich, todd stevens, paul marrone, cory berry) Radio Moscow has been touring ever since. The trio plans to be hitting the road extra hard this year to promote the second Radio Moscow studio album "Brain Cycles"

As a bluegrass band that's anything but traditional, Mountain Standard Time follows in the footsteps of such Colorado greats as The String Cheese Incident and Leftover Salmon. While leading acoustically with guitar, mandolin, and banjo, MST brands its own style, boasting a big, full-band sound with saxophone, electric bass, drums, and electric effects.

The members of Mountain Standard Time hail from all over the country, yet their musical paths crossed in Nederland - a small, Colorado mountain town steeped in bluegrass music. Whether you chalk it up to fate or coincidence, music goers everywhere are coming together to enjoy the "explosive bluegrass" that these six friends and musicians have come to create. MST has performed all over Colorado and across the country, with appearances at Wakarusa Music Festival, 10,000 Lakes Festival, and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival contest finals, among other events.

Mountain Standard Time's roots stem from late night "picks" among the bluegrass faithful, making music lovers dance from mountain towns to backwoods campfires. Rich lyrics, original melodies, vocal harmonies and driving back beats have been moving fans across the country, while the band's unique charisma has been winning hearts

After a brief time together in an all-acoustic college bar band, Alex Steele (keyboard, vocals) Drew Preiner (guitar, vocals) and Michael Daum (guitar) began working on a new project with a new vision and direction. The style eventually settled into a funk rock reggae sound, with emphasis on solid songwriting and explosive performances. In September 2006, the trio released a demo called “Contradicting Gravity.” The short disc garnered some local attention in the Twin Cities, and word started buzzing around colleges and clubs. After a few member changes and additions, the band grew to a 6 piece and released their first full-length album, “The Rhythm/The Elements” in September 2007 to a sold out crowd at the historic Varsity Theater in Minneapolis, MN.

Soon, small crowds swelled to hundreds and gig invitations began coming in from all over the Mid-West. The band condensed to a five piece, with Scott Muellenberg (bass) and Jeff Peterson (drums). In 2008, they began a demanding tour schedule, making stops at the regions top festivals like Summerfest, 10KLF, Bella Sol, and Harvestfest. Currently, Roster McCabe is touring and working on a new record, due out later this year.

Originally from Iowa City, IA, Eufórquestra (pronounced: yoo • FOHR • keh • struh, think Euphoria+Orchestra) relocated to Fort Collins, CO in August 2008 and has made a splash on the Colorado music scene with its progressive, genre-crossing funk fusions and a relentless tour schedule. Eufórquestra is quickly spreading its self-proclaimed “Afro-Caribbean-Barnyard-Funk;” a unique, rhythmic blend of sound, integrating such genres as Afrobeat, Reggae, Afro-Cuban, Samba, Soca, Funk, Salsa, and Dub. Eufórquestra’s music is igniting dance floors across the country, with a sound that “explodes, dances and melts in your ear with sheer bliss” (Chris M. Slawecki; AllAboutJazz.com). As percussionist and lead vocalist Matt Grundstad puts it, "we just want to make people dance.”

In October 2009, the band released their third studio album, Soup, a collection of 11 tracks that captures the band at new heights in terms of songwriting, energy and production. In an effort to spread the album far and wide as an independent artist, the band decided to give the album away for free online at www.euforquestra.com. With over 1,300 downloads in its first week the word is spreading!

With three full length albums to their name and a relentless tour schedule (over 100 shows per year), Eufórquestra has created a presence on the national scene, performing all over the U.S. at clubs, concert halls, community events, and festivals, such as Wakarusa, Summer Camp, 80/35 (Des Moines, IA), Sweet Pea Festival (Bozeman, MT), NedFest (Nederland, CO), Montana Beer Festival (Bozeman, MT) and Iowa City Jazz Festival. In addition, Eufórquestra hosts their own festival, Camp Euforia, every year in July, just outside of Iowa City, in Lone Tree, IA.
