Otter plays high energy, original rock for high energy, original people. Otter’s collaborative effort results in songs that catch hold of a groove as well as their audience while exploring jams along the way. Guitarists Bryon Dudley and Scott Jasper interweave melodies and create sonic textures, while the tight rhythms that drummer Rachel Dudley and bassist Greg Bruna generate keep the songs progressive and danceable. The band is currently recording their first studio album, to be released in 2009.

Otter has played at Vaudeville Mews, Ames on the Half Shell, Tune Into Main, Bali Satay House, The Octagon, Shooter's Hideaway, Cedar River Pub (Cedar Rapids), DG's Taphouse, the Ames Public Library, Bandshell Park, the Mary Greeley Day for All Ages, Onion Creek Farm, Roosevelt Summer Series, Ames Progressive, and the Cuda Cafe (Madison, WI). They have been featured on Scented Vinyl and Capitol 106's locals show.
