About Floodplane http://www.myspace.com/floodplane Fresh off playing 80/35, Floodplane is an Iowa-based jam band that’s been rocking the area for years now. Bill Kearney leads the group, taking care of guitar and most of the vocals. Todd Cumming, Justin Karl and Gwen Page round out the foursome, on drums, bass and keyboards, respectively. Their musical style fits nicely into the jam band genre, with comparisons to Phish being the most obvious. Their music is upbeat, spacy, playful and oftentimes complex. Their 11 track, full-length album Ready for Takeoff was released in 2005 on the band’s own Floodplane label. Expect to see a lot of smiling faces in the crowd whenever Floodplane takes the stage. |
